Introducing Weavers
Every child arrives with their own personality, interests, strengths and way of seeing the world. We take the time to understand each child and give them the freedom and support to follow their interests, develop their independence and grow in confidence.
The Weavers Way
Our philosophy begins with a simple idea:
The child is the thread.
The environment, educators and parents form the loom.
Learning is the process of weaving.
Community becomes the fabric.
Together, these elements form The Weavers Way — our approach to creating meaningful early childhood experiences centred around each individual child.
Our Journey
Having worked in early years education for over ten years, she found herself searching for a setting that combined exceptional education with a genuine understanding of the whole child.
Unable to find something that fully reflected what she wanted for her own child, she decided to create it.
Weavers began by bringing together the intimacy and individual attention of childminding with the educational quality and opportunities of a nursery. Families quickly connected with this different approach — to childhood, learning and partnership with parents — and our community began to grow. Today, as Weavers grows, the belief that started it all remains at the heart of everything we do: Early childhood can be purposefully different.
Today, that original belief remains at the heart of Weavers: early childhood can be purposefully different.
Our Mission
To place every child at the heart of a nurturing and connected community, creating thoughtful environments, meaningful relationships and rich learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, nurture independence and enable every child to flourish.
Our Core Values
Child First
Every decision begins with the child.
We see, hear and value every child as an individual, placing their safety, wellbeing, interests and needs at the heart of our practice
Curiosity & Independence
We create the conditions for children to discover for themselves.
We encourage children to explore, question, experiment and develop confidence in their own learning.
Connection & Belonging
Strong relationships create strong foundations.
We build meaningful connections between children, educators, families and our wider community so every child feels known and valued.
Excellence & Growth
We are always learning, reflecting and becoming better.
We hold high expectations for our care and education and continually develop our practice, our people and the experiences we provide.
“At Weavers, children are part of a community where they are known, listened to and supported.”
